RMA Policy
- 1. All RMA requests must be completed online at www.3b-it.co.uk/
- 2. 3B-IT offers a 30 day warranty on all products sold, unless covered by manufacturer’s warranty and begins from the date of the invoice.
- 2. Material can only be returned with a valid RMA number.
- 3. RMA numbers are issued only after the customer completes our RMA form, providing the date, invoice number, part number, serial number and a brief description of the failure of the part to be returned.
- 4. RMA numbers are valid for 7 days from the date issued and will automatically be cancelled if the RMA is not received within this time. RMAs without a valid number will be refused. RMAs must be shipped on the customer's account. Any returns shipped ‘collect to 3B-IT’ will be refused.
- 5. Product will be refused in the following circumstances:
- - If a product is returned missing any components sent with the original order.
- - If the condition of the returned product is in any way misrepresented.
- - If the received product is damaged in any way.
- - If there is not a valid and visible RMA number.
- - If a product returned on a DOA is tested as a full functioning product.
- - If product is received over 7 days after the date the RMA number is issued.
- - If a product is not returned in the original packaging and/or box.
- - Items defaced in any way e.g. additional labels or markings on product or its original packaging which cannot be easily removed
- - If product returned for credit is not in fully re-sellable condition (3B-IT will determine if product is in re-sellable condition).
- 6. Unauthorised deductions from invoice payments may result in an account being put on credit hold. Credit notes are issued from valid returns and should be referenced when used with a payment.
- 7. RMA numbers will be e-mailed to the customer.
- 8. RMA numbers must be clearly visible on the outer transit packaging (not on the product box).
- 1. DOA (dead on arrival)/Defective goods
- - DOA/defect issues must be reported within 72 hours of receipt.
- - Advance replacements for DOA products currently available in inventory can be shipped immediately as a separately invoiced order (new PO # required) and will be shipped on 3B-IT shipping account. When the defective RMA item is returned, the replacement order (which includes shipping charges) will be credited. However, if the returned item is in good working condition, a 25% restocking fee will be applied and the customer will be responsible for the replacement shipping charges.
- 2. Wrong Deliveries
- - Returns or replacements for shortages or discrepancies must be requested within 72 hours of receipt of order to guarantee receiving an RMA number.
- - Transportation cost for returning the material will be at the expense of 3B-IT.
- - 3B-IT will attempt to collect goods only once. If the customer or end user is not present for the pickup, they must return the products at their own expense.
- 3. Wrong Customer Order/Unwanted Goods.
- - All requests must be made within 7 days of invoice date
- - 3B-IT reserves the right to issue or not an RMA number for the return of material in case the customer placed a wrong order.
- - 3B-IT reserves the right to charge the customer a restocking fee of at least 25% of the product value, with a minimum of £25.
- - Transportation must be at the expense of the customer.
- 4. Special Order Items
- - All requests must be made within 7 days of invoice date.
- - 3B-IT reserves the right to issue or not an RMA number for the return of material in case the customer placed a wrong order.
- - 3B-IT reserves the right to charge the customer a restocking fee of at least 25% of the product value, with a minimum of £25, or more if 3B-IT are charged by their vendor.
- - Transportation must be at the expense of the customer.
- 5. Damaged Goods
- - 3B-IT must be notified of all damaged deliveries within 7 days date of invoice. Damage must be reported to courier at the reception of goods. Pictures of the damage need to be supplied to 3B-IT. Please keep all boxes available for inspection by carrier.
- 6. Compatible Items (Rack kits and cabling)
- - 3B-IT must be notified of compatibility issues within 30 days of date of invoice.
- - Details of incompatible platforms and error reports must be provided upon RMA application.
- - It is expected that a single item’s packaging should be opened to test for compatibility.
- - Further opened items, or products found to be compatible may be subject to a restocking fee.

RETURN OF GOODS
Goods will be returned in their original packaging, complete, without any printed tape, nor any writing on the box to the following address only:

- - Items originally shipped to the customer on a pallet, must be returned to 3B-IT on a pallet.
- - RMAs should be returned in the original packaging where possible and shipped at the expense of the customer. Damaged returns will not be eligible for credit, unless the return was damaged in transit.
- - Static sensitive devices must be packaged in appropriate anti-static bags, otherwise warranty may be void.
- - Hard Drives, Motherboards, CD Rom drives and any circuit board type product must be returned with sufficient protection for transit, otherwise these may be rejected.
- - RMA numbers must be clearly visible on the outer transit packaging (not on the product box).
